Why a new blog?

A few weeks ago I discovered thought this beautiful blog another blog that references great posts in the infertility, pregnancy loss community, and I thought it was a fantastic idea. I have been reading amazing posts from people in the adoption community and sometimes feel the need to read them again to give me strength, to reconnect with the beauty of adoption and keep my faith to why we are in this boat.

This week was a bad week in the Chinese adoption community. I felt down most of it and asked myself a lot of questions.

And Senja gave me an award for blogging with purpose. I thought what is the purpose of our blog? We created it 7 years ago for our family and friends in France, so that we could stay connected with pictures and some summaries of our new life in Canada. I want our site to be also a nice way to keep somewhere a trace of what we do as a family.
But in the past year I discovered the amazing online community of international adoption. And it has helped me so much that I think it would be great to have a place where people could find some inspiration and motivation with one click. I have also read wonderful posts asking tough questions about parenting/racisms/ethic...and I think some are must read.

So I asked Melissa for her green light and here we are: my new purpose with this new blog is to try to build a non exhaustive list of moving and beautiful posts and/or controversial and make-you-think posts, about adoption and written by the wonderful people of the online adoption community.

Please help me build this list.
