Paula has taught me so much about adoption and parenting adopted children in her blog. Because she knows adoption from the perspective of the adoptive parent and the adopted child, she helps us learn to open our mind and heart to a bigger picture.

The one thing I learned that I didn't expect was that I would spend so much energy just keeping our kid happy. I always want him happy, never sad. And that takes a great deal of effort to do.
That post rocks. I love her writings, she is so insightful, honest and open. Honestly the best teacher around.
